Fortune5Fifty last left the Disco Biscuits backstage at a highly successful Camp Bisco VIII. Since then they have traveled to Japan for Fuji Rock and have taken some time off. We will next see the Disco Biscuits in September, with the start of their tour and, drum roll please, the first of 3 EP releases leading up the release of their album in January. The albums will be titled Planet Anthem and according to our interview with their drummer Allen Aucoin, “It will be a unique album, in our minds already epic, timeless, groundbreaking, and trend-setting from the music to the artwork it is definitely a jewel of its own.” Their website stated this morning that each EP will be multi-media digital packages and will contain singles, remixes, and music videos. They will be released starting in September and will continue to be released in six week increments. These EP’s will be available online, as limited retail packages, and at the stops along the Planet Anthem Tour, which was also announced today. The Planet Anthem tour will kick off at their old stomping grounds, The Sayerville Ballroom. Their tour will then take them to Texas to begin four weekends of shows including two nights at the 930 Club on October 2nd and October 3rd. The rest of the tour will take them to the West Coast and back in support of the EP releases.
