In case you missed it, the HFN label has commissioned Anders Trentemøller, our favorite minimal master, to do a mix for them as the first in a new series they are calling “Harbour Boat Trips.” The label aims to bring a collection of truly unique mixes to its audience by having some of the best DJ/Producers on the scene create mixes based on particular harbors around the world. The hope is that by connecting music to a tangible place, the mixes will transcend their typical purposes and leave the listener with a more stimulating experience.
For Mr. Trentemøller, the harbor will be one in Copenhagen and, judging by the tracklist (be sure to check it out below… it may just surprise you), this mix will certainly be a moving one. Spanning over four decades of music and even more genres, the mix is slated to hit distributors in late June.
