This Friday (April 3rd) Baltimore’s best kept secret Defination Gallery is hosting “Inspiration”a music inspired art opening. This special exhibit features art inspired by such musicians as The Grateful Dead, The Who, The Rolling Stones, Bon Jovi and even Pretty Lights. “Inspiration” stems from the the natural melting of both Art and Music…and this event boasts a taste of both with a mixed bag from local Baltimore artists such as Dale Ihnken to one of a kind original Jerry Garcia works. And if that’s not enough to get you excited I’m happy to announce F5F’s own DJ B Cosgrove aka BCOS will be spinnin’ the entire event…whomp!
Definition Gallery is a product of a much anticipated merger between Foundation One Gallery | Atlanta, Georgia and DB5K Gallery | Baltimore, Maryland. Definition Gallery is a modern art space located in Baltimore, Maryland showcasing emerging and nationally acclaimed artists with roots in contemporary culture. At Definition Gallery they strive to exhibit unique works of art that demonstrate skillful craftsmanship and emphasize on individual vision of each artist. Definition Gallery works closely with both collectors and artists to provide a relaxed, yet professional environment where art education and appreciation take precedence over other aspects of the business.
Artists include:
Justin Bua; Jerry Garcia (Grateful Dead); Bill Kreutzmann (Grateful Dead); John Entwistle (The WHO); Tico Torres (Bon Jovi), Ron Wood (Rolling Stones); John Kahn (Jerry Garcia Band); Baltimore’s own Dale Ihnken; Daniel Johnston; Thomas Noll; Stanley Mouse; Peter Max; Ralph Steadman; Sam Holden and special TBA musical guests!!
It gives me great pleasure to announce that Dale Ihnken will be featuring the Electronic Snowball & Phobia paintings for this exhibit. If you didn’t get a chance to see them being created live I strongly encourage you to come out and see them first hand.
Doors open at 7pm and the gallery will be open till 11pm. Make sure you swing by, you won’t want to miss this!
F5F will be there holding it down and so come out and get a lil taste of our own “crab cake”..wink! wink!
see you there…
