Sometimes I like to pretend that I’m a Baller, ie. when I throw on my Times Square FRolex and ball out or when I rock my imitation Calvin Klein Jeans. Now obviously my delusions end when I check my bank account and see how much I owe the bank in overdraft fees (who needs overdraft protection). But delusions don’t have to end at least when we’re talking about snagging some Fine Art from the good folks at TAG Galleries, 732 S. Broadway, in Historic Fells Point. Now I know your sitting there saying “Tyler, I want to ball but like you I’m on a budget and IKEA prints just don’t do it for me, How can I bling out my wall with the good good?”
Well TAG is the answer and the selection goes from the Bold to the B.E.A.Utiful and all sorts of in between. This Maryland born reproduction studio takes artists from all over the country and reproduces their work on canvas and high quality posters, thus making it affordable for my fellow B.O.B.s. After walking in and gawking at the walls for a while, myself and some of the Fortune5Fifty crew knew we needed to spread the word quicker then an Essex chick’s legs at prom. Not only is the gallery located in easy to get to Fells Point but you can always order straight off the Internet at www.TAGGalleries.com. Where not only can you check out what they’re working with, but can do it while sitting naked on your roommate’s couch. So simple to do that I heard Lenny from Of Mice and Men even copped some art from these guys.
